In Response to COVID-19, VSP Global Premier Practices to Retain Status Through 2020; Premier Academy360 Education and Training Now Available to All VSP Practices

SBA Relief Loans Webinar and My Marketing Team COVID-19 Resource Kit Now Available


RANCHO CORDOVA, Calif., April 9, 2020 – In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, VSP Global® announced that effective immediately, practices participating in the Premier Program will keep their current status and benefits through the end of 2020, with the program criteria check-in being waived. To further support private practice, all VSP network practices now have access to Premier Academy360’s library of education and training resources, with new webinars designed to offer strategies and tools to address current challenges.

Applying for Small Business Administration Loans 101 is available now to all practices, as part of Premier Academy360’s latest free webinar offerings. Presented by Bank of the West, practices will learn about the Paycheck Protection Program which offers loans to small businesses to keep their workforce employed during the COVID-19 crisis, as well as the Economic Injury Disaster Loan which provides loans to impacted small businesses. Insights into eligibility and what to expect during the process of applying for these relief loans are explored in the webinar.

New webinars now available from Premier Academy360 include Managing Expenses, presented by Mark Wright, OD, FCOVD, which explores valuable strategies for managing expenses and how these strategies can be the key to building intentional profit. In Tough Times – Be Your Best Self, presented by Shauna Harrington, SPHR, SHRM-SCP, is also available and offers practical ways to change your mindset, modify behaviors, and be productive during times of crisis. As practices look to stay connected with their patients and community, the Premier Program’s My Marketing Team has also launched a COVID-19 resource kit, available at no cost to all VSP network practices. Whether a practice is temporarily closed, offering essential eye care and limited services, or open normal business hours, the robust toolkit provides marketing resources, social media posts, and digital signage to help practices engage with patients and provide updates on services.
