OfficeMate & ExamWRITER Documentation Wins Two Awards of Excellence

Rancho Cordova, Calif., March 16, 2010—Eyefinity®/OfficeMate®is pleased to announce that its "Setting Up Insurance Carriers & Plans" OfficeMate Enterprise document and its “Using the ExamWRITER ePrescribing Interface” document won prestigious Awards of Excellence in the 2009–2010 Society for Technical Communication (STC) Southern California Technical Communication Competition.
Carrie Damschroder, Director of Documentation, wrote and edited the instructional document about the new ExamWRITER ePrescribing Interface and Michael Opsteegh, Senior Technical Writer, wrote and edited the instructional document about OfficeMate Enterprise 2.0. They entered the documents into the Technical Publications/Reference Materials portion of the competition.
This regional competition included entries from eight Southern California STC chapters. Competition judges acknowledged that the “Setting Up Insurance Carriers & Plans" document is "presented logically with a general overview, and progresses to more detailed information, which is appropriate for the intended audience." The competition judges also stated that the “Using the ExamWRITER ePrescribing Interface” document is "clear and straightforward."
The Southern California STC chapters sponsored the technical publications competition to recognize and encourage excellence in communication through printed and online media. The competition honors technical writers and editors who set the standards for published technical communication.
