Off and Running - The First 30 Days

October 30, 2015

I’m about to hit the 30-day mark as CEO of VSP Global. It’s been a busy month traveling the country, preparing for international trips, and taking time to meet with VSP employees and partners right here at our Rancho Cordova headquarters. It’s a big job, but I love it.

During this first month, I’ve met with all three former CEOs that came before me: John O’Donnell, Roger Valine and Rob Lynch. Each one left their unique mark on the company over the past 60 years, keeping the company profitable, finding and implementing efficient business practices, and always taking time to celebrate our employees. All three have instilled meaningful insights on leadership and about their priorities during their tenure.

As I think about the year ahead, I’ll keep their advice top of mind. I’m committed to continued growth, innovation, celebrating our employees and putting members first. Thanks for following along for this first month, I can’t wait to see what’s in store.
